DOCUMENTATION / Twilio
Twilio API Documentation MCP
Searches public Twilio API specifications and documentation, then retrieves parameter and response schemas for selected operations.
“API search and documentation retrieval.”
01 / THE REASONING
Why this made the selection.
- Focused search-then-retrieve workflow.
- No Twilio account or API credentials required.
02 / THE REVIEW RECORD
What we actually inspected.
Source review has boundaries.
A clear record is more useful than a “safe” badge.
Material inspected
- https://www.twilio.com/docs/ai/mcp
- Round 2 reread of acquired publisher setup and permission evidence; see immutable wave review.
Our findings
- The current tools are twilio__search and twilio__retrieve.
- OAuth-enabled execution tools are described as planned, not current capabilities.
- Lane cross-review checked the retained publisher setup and permission descriptions before integration; no authenticated calls were made.
- API discovery returns identifiers that the schema-fetch tool consumes; a specific API version can be selected with filter.version.
Not established by this review
- Authentication, live tool execution and implementation security were not tested.
The review applies to the material and revision named here. A newer upstream release can change its behavior.
03 / PUT IT TO WORK
Connect a server deliberately.
- Add the hosted docs endpoint to a compatible client.
- Search for the desired operation, then retrieve its full schema.
- Match the API version and test application code separately.
- Search for the operation/product first, then fetch the selected API identifiers to inspect required parameters and response schemas before writing application code.
Before you start
- Network access and a compatible MCP client.
Documented configuration example
Use the client and authentication context described in the setup guidance. Configuration formats vary between hosts.
