The licence each model's weights are published under, with its models, a link to its text and, where the text says so, whether commercial use is allowed. A licence governs downloading and running the weights. Calling a model through an API is governed by that API's terms.

Its repository metadata names license_name kimi-k3. Its display clause names "Kimi K3" (above 100 million monthly active users or US$20 million monthly revenue). Until release A7 the catalogue labelled this model modified-mit (docs/EMPIRICAL-GROUNDING.md §87).
