Why this made the selection.
- The generated tool catalogue marks browser_click, browser_navigate and browser_file_upload read-only false, so interaction is visible in the file.

Our findings
- Transport stated for the client is SSE against a workers.dev /sse URL.
- browser_click and browser_file_upload are marked read-only false. browser_file_upload takes absolute paths.
- The repository is archived on GitHub (https://api.github.com/repos/cloudflare/playwright-mcp, "archived": true, checked 2026-10-13). The record is kept at its reviewed commit.
- The README’s Claude Desktop block runs npx mcp-remote against the placeholder https://[my-mcp-url].workers.dev/sse. mcp-remote is a separate project the README links to.
- cloudflare/package.json names the package @cloudflare/playwright-mcp at version 0.0.1-next. The root package.json still names @playwright/mcp by Microsoft Corporation, with repository microsoft/playwright-mcp, and builds with tsc.
- cloudflare/example/src/index.ts routes /sse and /sse/message through serveSSE and /mcp through serve, and answers 404 for any other path. It has no authentication check.
Not established by this review
- The Worker was not deployed and no browser tool was called.
- The 14-tool playground sentence and the 30-name generated catalogue were not reconciled by a live tools/list.
- The mcp-remote proxy in the Claude Desktop block was not run.
The review applies to the material and revision named here. A newer upstream release can change its behavior.

- From the reviewed README: npm ci, then cd cloudflare && npm run build, then cd cloudflare/example && npm ci && npx wrangler deploy.
- Replace the placeholder workers.dev URL with the Worker you deployed. Do not treat the placeholder as a live endpoint.
- The VS Code command above is the documented client install. It was not run.
