“Cloudflare's official cf CLI (beta) for the public Cloudflare API and Workers projects. Use for finding and running Cloudflare commands from the terminal — sign-in and profiles, cf cli search, cf schema, cf deploy/dev/build, resource commands for DNS, zones, D1, KV, and R2 — and for choosing between cf and Wrangler in a project.”

[Cloudflare · upstream description ↗](https://github.com/cloudflare/skills/blob/53395984c3ea1925d00fce03b266112302f050e6/skills/cf-cli/SKILL.md) Our analysis follows below.

01 / THE REASONING

## Why this made the selection.

 - The catalogue already has Wrangler, Workers, and Turnstile skills from this repository and not the cf CLI skill.
- The file separates cf from an existing Wrangler project and says a non-interactive aborted delete can still exit 0.

### A good fit for

 - Choosing cf or Wrangler from the config files in a Workers project before running a Cloudflare command

### Weigh up before choosing

 - This review did not execute the resource.
- The linked Cloudflare documentation pages were not fetched, and the claim of 2,900-plus commands was not counted from a cf binary.
- The repository README does not name a licence; the Apache-2.0 text is the root LICENSE at this commit.

02 / THE REVIEW RECORD

## What we actually inspected.

Source review has boundaries. A clear record is more useful than a “safe” badge.

### Material inspected

 - skills/cf-cli/SKILL.md
- README.md
- LICENSE

### Our findings

 - The skill says cf is in beta and that agents should search cf cli search, then inspect cf schema or --help, instead of relying on pre-trained command names.
- It says cf keeps its own credentials, does not reuse a Wrangler login, and that unattended agents cannot finish cf auth login and should set CLOUDFLARE_API_TOKEN.
- It says a destructive command without --force in a non-interactive session can print Aborted and still exit 0, so a zero status is not evidence the resource was deleted.

### Not established by this review

 - The resource was not executed and its tools were not called.
- cf was not installed.
- No Cloudflare API call was made.
- The documentation URLs in the skill were not opened.
- Not executed: it was not installed or run.

The review applies to the material and revision named here. A newer upstream release can change its behavior.

03 / PUT IT TO WORK

## Add a skill to your workflow.

DOCUMENTED COMMAND

npx skills add cloudflare/skills Copy command ↗

Run in your terminal to choose your AI tools, project or global scope, and installation method. This short command follows the current upstream version; the review covers the revision shown above.

 Optional: install the reviewed revision

Keeps the original source and installer version where recorded, while leaving your AI tools and installation scope for you to choose.

npx skills add https://github.com/cloudflare/skills Copy reviewed-revision command ↗ - The README's npx skills section is the command above and installs the repository's skills, not a cf-cli-only flag.
- The same README also shows /plugin marketplace add cloudflare/skills and /plugin install cloudflare@cloudflare for Claude Code.
- The skill table names cf-cli as the skill for finding cf commands and choosing between cf and Wrangler.

### Before you start

 - Node.js 22.18 or later, as the skill states
- A skills-compatible agent
- A Cloudflare API token for unattended use, which this review did not create

### Compatibility

Claude Code · Cursor · OpenAI Codex · OpenCode · GitHub Copilot · skills CLI

### Implementation

shell

### Local CLI instructions plus optional Cloudflare credentials

 - Read the skill
- Search local cf commands with cf cli search, which the skill says needs no credentials
- Call the Cloudflare API only if the operator supplies a token or completes login

### Cost model

Apache-2.0; no Cloudflare API call was made in this review
