“API search and documentation retrieval.”

[Twilio · upstream description ↗](https://www.twilio.com/docs/ai/mcp) Our analysis follows below.

01 / THE REASONING

## Why this made the selection.

 - Focused search-then-retrieve workflow.
- No Twilio account or API credentials required.

### A good fit for

 - Choosing the right messaging or voice API operation.
- Checking parameter schemas before implementing an integration.

### Weigh up before choosing

 - Public beta; Twilio excludes it from its Support Terms and SLA.
- Retrieval does not execute Twilio APIs or access private account data.
- Search defaults to the latest API version; filter.version is needed for a specific older version.
- The public beta retrieves public specs and does not execute Twilio API operations; execute-ready OAuth tools are roadmap items rather than current capability.

02 / THE REVIEW RECORD

## What we actually inspected.

Source review has boundaries. A clear record is more useful than a “safe” badge.

### Material inspected

- Round 2 reread of acquired publisher setup and permission evidence; see immutable wave review.

### Our findings

 - The current tools are twilio__search and twilio__retrieve.
- OAuth-enabled execution tools are described as planned, not current capabilities.
- Lane cross-review checked the retained publisher setup and permission descriptions before integration; no authenticated calls were made.
- API discovery returns identifiers that the schema-fetch tool consumes; a specific API version can be selected with filter.version.

### Not established by this review

 - Authentication, live tool execution and implementation security were not tested.

The review applies to the material and revision named here. A newer upstream release can change its behavior.

03 / PUT IT TO WORK

## Connect a server deliberately.

[Upstream setup instructions ↗](https://www.twilio.com/docs/ai/mcp)
 - Add the hosted docs endpoint to a compatible client.
- Search for the desired operation, then retrieve its full schema.
- Match the API version and test application code separately.
- Search for the operation/product first, then fetch the selected API identifiers to inspect required parameters and response schemas before writing application code.

### Before you start

 - Network access and a compatible MCP client.

### Documented configuration example

Use the client and authentication context described in the setup guidance. Configuration formats vary between hosts.

### Compatibility

Remote MCP client; this public documentation endpoint requires no authentication.

### Transports

Remote HTTP

### Remote service

 - Sends documentation queries to Twilio; retrieved guidance can influence subsequent coding-agent actions.

### Cost model

No account required for this documentation service; application API and model usage remain separate.

04 / FOLLOW THE EVIDENCE

## The source trail.

Our notes are separate from the original resource. Check upstream before adopting a new version.
