The read-only annotations were read in src/tools at this commit; the handlers were not executed. - Hosted deployments can also register send_feedback, which files feedback into the maintainers' Sentry inbox when Sentry is enabled. The README says /internal records tool inputs and outputs. 02 / THE REVIEW RECORD ## What we actually inspected. Source review has boundaries. A clear record is more useful than a “safe” badge. ### Material inspected - README.md tools table, hosted install command, configuration table and self-host notes - LICENSE MIT, copyright 2026 Sergiy Dybskiy - package.json (name plausible-mcp, license MIT, TypeScript build) - src/server.ts, src/plausible.ts and the five files in src/tools at the same commit ### Our findings - Four query tools are named and described as read-only. - The install command uses an HTTP transport and a bearer header. A local node command is also documented. - configExample is the README's hosted block for Claude Desktop, Cursor and other clients at this commit. YOUR_PLAUSIBLE_API_KEY is the README's own placeholder. - At this commit get_timeseries, get_breakdown, get_conversions and compare_periods each register readOnlyHint: true; send_feedback registers readOnlyHint: false and src/server.ts registers it only when enableFeedbackTool is set. src/plausible.ts calls one Plausible endpoint, POST /api/v2/query. - Upstream on 2026-10-13: HEAD is this commit, the repository is not archived, and package.json still names the package plausible-mcp under MIT. ### Not established by this review - No client was configured and no Plausible query was sent. - Tool handlers were read, not executed. The key is a header or environment variable, not a chat paste. ### Cost model Source is MIT. Plausible and the hosted Sentry endpoint can have their own plan limits.
